Lynn Swedberg

Lynn Swedberg has worked as an occupational therapist since 1976, primarily in skilled nursing facilities and through home health agencies. Lynn is a certified lay speaker, has completed health ministry (parish nursing) training, and has a master's degree in health services administration.

Lynn sensed a call ten years ago to use her skills to help the church become more accessible and inclusive. She has presented and published nationally, encouraging other occupational therapists and parish nurses/ health ministers to become involved in facilitating full participation in faith communities. She is active in the disability concerns committee of the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference, addressing accessibility of the annual conference session, other conference meetings, and camping programs. She also helped guide her local church to establish an accessibility committee and practice inclusion. She has participated in several Wheels to the World outreach trips to Romania through Joni and Friends.
