

Rev. Jacqueline Burgess,
Northeastern Jurisdiction
The Rev. Jacqueline Burgess is an Elder and Full Member of the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church. She serves the conference as the chairperson of the Greater New Jersey Conference Special Needs Sub-Committee of the Board of Global Ministries. She is also part of the charter organization for the first Faith and Light Community (a ministry of L'Arche International) in New Jersey. She is Vice-President of the New Jersey Council of Churches. She is a member of the World Methodist Council for the 2006-2011 Quinquennium. She serves on the Northern Shore District Committee on Ministry and is both a Candidacy and Clergy Mentor. Ms. Burgess continues to serve the Greater New Jersey Camps and Conferences as a Volunteer Director.
Ms. Burgess has written the Bible Study for Church Women United's 2010 Human Rights Celebration: Living the Challenge, Differently Enabled, Uniquely Called. She was recently published in Wellsprings: A Clergywomen's Journal in an article about balancing the roles of pastor and prophet in congregational ministry.
